Cinelli

CINELLI was founded in 1947 by former professional racing cyclist and winner of the Milan-San Remo race (1943) Cino Cinelli. Cino Cinelli was a dogged perfectionist and in just 20 years his company became a leading manufacturer of racing handlebars and stems. By building frames and components, he tried to implement ideas and experiences he had developed during his active time as a racer. One of the first cyclists to use a Cinelli frame professionally was Fausto Coppi in 1947. Among other things, Cino Cinelli invented the first saddle with a plastic shell, the Unicanitor, and built the legendary Supercorsa frame, a true cult object that is still produced today. For several decades, Cinelli was the supplier of almost all bicycle forks for professional cycling teams - well as all top racing bikes of the 70s were equipped with Cinelli handlebars and stems. Cinelli is now one of the most important manufacturers of handlebars, stems, frames and also bicycles, based in Caleppio di Settala near Milan, and builds, among other things, high-quality road bikes, track bikes and gravel bikes, traditionally using tubes from the frame manufacturer Columbus. The company's main turnover comes from the sale of bicycle components, in particular handlebars and stems. The products enjoy cult status in cycling circles due to their design and quality.
