Brick Lane Bikes: quality, style and passion for the urban lifestyle
The founder of Brick Lane Bikes, himself a former bike courier, knew all too well the requirements that a bike has to meet in an urban environment. He therefore specialized in developing bikes that are ideal for urban traffic and meet the requirements of bike couriers. Fixies and vintage bikes with a classic urban look as well as high-quality and affordable bike parts are part of BLB's diverse range.
The Brick Lane Bikes range includes a variety of high-quality bicycle parts such as handlebars, wheelsets, handlebar tape and other components. These parts complement genuine vintage bikes and retro bikes and are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
Why fixies are ideal for the city: The benefits of singlespeed bikes for urban environments
Why are fixies ideal for the city? Fixies and singlespeed bikes were originally popularized by bicycle couriers in New York. The simple and ingenious idea behind them was to develop a light and fast bike that could be used efficiently in dense city traffic. As bike couriers see time as money, the speed and maneuverability of these bikes was a decisive advantage. By omitting gears, brakes and other superfluous components, fixies became particularly light and unattractive to thieves, making them ideal city bikes.
Brick Lane Bikes not only offers fixies, but also city bikes with a retro look, which have found a large fan base. The focus is on the individual look of the bikes, which is why customers can also buy individual bike components to put together their own personal dream bike. The range includes a variety of parts for the bike cockpit as well as hardware for the drivetrain, such as cranks, chains and bottom brackets.
